Position - Craic Crew - Production & Community

Location: Lowell, MA and surrounding areas

Wages: $16 / hour + bonus incentives 

 

The Craic Sauce team is looking for an enthusiastic, community driven individual to join the Craic Crew. In a given week we are cooking, harvesting peppers and processing ingredients, out at markets and pop ups introducing people to very complex hot sauces made with 100% local grown peppers.

We are looking for some additional crew members to help our with farmers markets and occasional production and farming help. 

 

The majority of the work will take place in Lowell, MA and towns/cities 30 miles away. ​

Job term 

  • May - end of October

  • November - December extension possible

Available shifts (must work some weekends)

  • 6-12 hours 

  • 12-20 hours

  • 20+ based on experience

 

Job responsibilities:

 

Farmers Markets Sampling and Selling

 

Our crew sets up at 7-10 events per week and take customers through a demonstration and sampling of our sauces. Each crew member is expected to do 1-2 markets each week. 

Our responsibilities with markets are:

  • Arriving to farmers markets on time, setting up tent, tables, display and preparing tastings for the start of the event

  • Engaging customers, educating them on our sauces and ways to use them, and providing exceptional customer service.

  • Break down of tent & display, maintaining records and returning kits back to office in N Chelmsford, MA.

  • Must provide own transportation

Potential additional shifts in Production

  • Working in our commercial kitchen and farm plots

  • Dicing vegetables

  • Picking peppers and tomatoes

  • Using industrial food processing equipment

  • Bottling hot sauce

  • Sanitizing bottles and washing cooking equipment

  • Being on feet for 4+ hours

  • Washing produce

  • Applicants must have a valid driver’s license to be considered for the position. (Driving to farmers markets is another requirement.)

  • Being able to learn quickly and follow all food and safety guidelines

  • Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs repeatedly and easily, and work physically for 4 + hours
