Position - Craic Crew - Production & Community

Location: Lowell, MA and surrounding areas

Wages: $15 / hour

 

The Craic Sauce team is looking for an enthusiastic, community driven individual to join the Craic Crew. In a given week we are cooking, harvesting peppers and processing ingredients, out at markets and pop ups introducing people to very complex hot sauces made with 100% local grown peppers.

 

You will be working closely with your local community and the Craic Crew, which consists of 6+ Lowell and Merrimack Valley team members. The majority of the work will take place in Lowell, MA and 20+ surrounding. 

 

Weekly available shifts:

  • 12 - 20 hours per week

  • 25 - 35 hours per week

Job term 

  • May - end of August

  • Weekend availability from Sept - Dec

 

Job responsibilities:

 

Go to events and pop ups, set up a booth and get ready to take people through a mind blowing flavor tour! We'll get you there with helpful introductions and training, and fun exercises continually. You will be attending a blend of farmers markets, small festivals, and unique pop ups.

All staff is expected of:

  • Providing overview of our different sauces being able to know all ingredients and recommendations. 

  • Being able to answer questions from customers about our operation, hot sauce

  • Break down of tent set up and maintaining records.

  • Must have own transportation

 

 

Production of Craic Sauce in our commercial kitchen

  • Working in fast paced environment

  • Dicing vegetables

  • Using industrial food processing equipment

  • Bottling hot sauce

  • Sanitizing bottles and washing cooking equipment

  • Being on feet for 4+ hours

  • Harvesting peppers on our plot and washing produce

  • A desire and willingness to work outside (in the rain and the heat & cold too!)

  • A desire to work with teams and engage with the friends and strangers in the community

  • Applicants must have a valid driver’s license to be considered for the position. (Driving to farmers markets is another requirement.)

  • Being able to learn quickly and follow all food and safety guidelines

  • Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs repeatedly and easily, and work physically for 4 + hours

  • Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
